According to an article posted on Reuters, the cushy lives that white collar expats have come to expect in Asia is changing rapidly.

Gone are fat housing allowances, stipends to send the kiddies off to international schools, and even chauffeur services. The horror! The article goes on to say that many banking executives from Wall Street and Europe still live a life of luxury in Asia. But for many others, the "expat" life of perks is a fading phenomenon. According to said Paul Lucas, vice president for real estate at Pricoa Relocation:

Those kind of packages will not be offered to the extent they were in the past.
